The WAN Network Management screen lets you manage how your router connects to the upstream internet. WifiSocks supports wired Ethernet cables, wireless Wi-Fi Relay (repeating an existing Wi-Fi network), automatic Dual-WAN backup failover, and custom DNS settings.
Click the WAN Network Management button in the top navigation bar of the web dashboard (http://192.168.105.1).
Under the Wired Network (Ethernet) card, the dashboard displays the live status of your physical internet cable:
| Status Indicator | What It Means | What to Do |

| Connected | The Ethernet cable is plugged in and has successfully received an IP address from your upstream modem. | Everything is working normally. |
| Cable Connected (No IP) | The cable is plugged in, but the router has not received an IP address from your internet provider modem. | Check that your internet modem has DHCP enabled. Restart the modem if necessary. |
| Disconnected | No physical cable is detected in the WAN port. | Plug an Ethernet cable from your internet modem into the router WAN port. |
If you cannot run an Ethernet cable to your router, you can connect the router wirelessly to an existing Wi-Fi network under the Wi-Fi Network (Relay) card:
If both a wired Ethernet cable and a Wi-Fi Relay connection are active simultaneously, WifiSocks applies automatic Dual-WAN Priority:
In the WAN Network Management modal, click the DNS Settings button:
[!NOTE] Who is affected by DNS settings: This setting applies only to the router itself and devices using Direct WAN Access. Devices assigned a proxy route resolve all website lookups securely through their encrypted proxy tunnel.
